![]() It was our nation's 42th birthday yesterday on 09 August. I've got the honor to celebrate our National Day at the new "stadium" at Marina Bay. Went with my parents and my sister. We were all dress in red. And when we reach there, every other Singaporeans were wearing red too. It's really a good thing as we are all proud to be a Singaporean. The stadium at Marina Bay is really nice. Of cause, its not as big as the National Stadium, but still, it's big enough for a National Day Parade. We were sitted at the green sector, which is at the left side. The pre-parade started with different performance, like from the Dim Sum Dollies, to other Singapore artists performing some Singapore songs. After that, the parade started to form up. The ministers all started to came in. This year there was no combine school choir. The normal tradition was that there will be 4 songs (tamil, malay, chinese and the english NDP theme song) will be sung during the parade segment. But this year, instead of singing the 4 songs, they played 3 musics. Tamil, Malay and Chinese, something different. ![]() The Singapore flag flying past as we sing the National Anthem ![]() Fighter Jets beautiful air display Something special is that, the sounding of the canon is really near to us! The canons are just opposite us! So freaking loud! Everything brings back memories of when I was participating in NDP 1999. The show segment started after that, and of cause, its the usual stuff. But this year, as we are next to the water, they had more showcase of sea ships by the SAF. During the show segment, Kit Chan also came out to sing this year NDP theme song, "There's No Place I'd Rather Be". And lastly, the most important part of cause, is the FIREWORKS! The fireworks this year is also much better, as its so near to us! It looks as if the fireworks is just right infront of us! Wonderful... I'm really happy to be a part of the celebration. Happy Birthday Singapore! |
