Had been busy studying for exam in December. Nothing special in my life expect that my colleagues and I had been participating in runs. Started with a 5.83km Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009. It's a run from Changi Village to Changi Prison. My very 1st official running event. Didn't do as good as my training runs near my house, guess its because there are lots of up slopes for this run. Manage to finish it with a timing of 39 mins 16 secs. Not exactly very fast, but still, its better than I expected.

The 2nd event that I took part in is the New Balance Real Run 2009. Join the 10km run this time round. Anyway, this run is even more challenging than the previous one. It started with 4km of sand trails. The sands are so uneven, it took a lot of extra effort to run on it. Some parts were rather muddy. By the end of the 4km, I am already rather exhasuted. After that its a long road, followed by changi beach. And guess what, there is a part where we had to run on the sandy beach! It's so so difficult to run on the sand! By now my leg is already tired and had no energy. After that, its the race on the road, back to the finish line! I pushed myself to run and finally reached the finish point. Managed to finish with a timing of 1 hour 14 mins 55 secs. Although its very slow, but I am still happy with this timing as its the 1st time i run 10km, and am so glad that I am able to complete it!

Real Run 2009 Medal

The next run will be the Run for Hope 2009 this coming Sunday, at East Coast Park. It's actually a run to raise funds for cancer patients. Lots of my colleagues join the run too. I joined the 10km run. Any of you interested, can still go down to join the run with a minimum donation of $30. There are 2 different categories, 4km and 10km. It's a fun run, so there is no BIB number or time chip. Come join us this Sunday, 22nd Nov, 7am at East Coast Park near Carpark E2, Angsana Green.
